whats this body temp thing??

Hi peeps sorry to bug you all again but was just wondering what the basal body thing is all about!! I dont know what it should be? Can you tell if your by it?? What should it be if your there are loads of charts about this but would love to know more?? Thanks girls lots of to you all xxxx

Everyone's temperatures are slightly different but you will find a pattern in them in each cycle. You can only tell if you're likely to be pregnant if you've been temping (taking your temperature at the same time every morning as soon as you wake up and before you do anything else) for the whole cycle - it's really used for determining when ovulation occured, as you get a temperature rise after ovulation and your temperature will remain high until just before your next period - if you are pregnant it stays higher

It's best to use a thermometer specifically for this as they give your temperature to 2 decimal places so they detect any small changes better - if you search for BBT thermometer you'll find the best ones

chart your temp every morning on fertility friend .com and then it will tell you went or if you have ovulated itsself and if you temp stays higher after your period is due you are prob pregnant good luck hun x

High for one person might be completely normal for another so it's impossible to say - you'd only know if your temps are higher if you'd been taking them for your whole cycle
