when you cook a turkey joint, do you baste it in any herbs/sauces? would appreciate any ideas please
I would just baste it in its own juices unless you want a sauce to go with it
Chicken and turkey have lots of water in them so you wont really need anything to baste them with. I always cook mine slow (lower heat than it says on the packaging) and I turn it over every half hour & baste it so that the top doesnt get dry
