All day today I've had a wide selection of ovary pains and af-type cramps. Which I wouldn't mind so much if I was due to ovulate but I'm only on CD9 of an expected 31-32 day cycle.

It really does feel like ovulation, but no ewcm, and it's on both sides at the same time.

I'm really now starting to worry that it might be inflammation/infection following my mc last week.

If you are worried about complications hunny ring nhs direct 0845 4647 or see if you can get to your gp tomorrow. It's not worth taking a risk over and you have been through enough recently without having this worry on your mind too.

Hope you are ok sweetheart xxxxxxxxxx

Thanks BabyBrain. I guess I'm probably overreacting, I usually am, and it could just be things readjusting back to normal? I'm going to do an opk soon just in case, but as long as the pain doesn't get any worse I'll just try and forget about it.

Would appreciate if anyone has experienced something similar to let me know what it was or whether it just went away??

I get cramps a few days before ov sometimes.

I've read about it any many things can cause ovary pain, including them getting warmed up for the occasion.

I'm cramping a little today and yesterday and no EWCM yet. I'm on CD11. Xx

Hi Leesey,

So sorry for your loss.

I had an early m/c on 25th October and for the past week I have been worrying myself silly about a heavy crampy feeling and twinges in my ovaries. I went to the doctors today and she totally put my mind at ease, she said it was probably my body getting back to normal and unless the pain was extreme or I started bleeding that I should be fine!
Did you have a scan to make sure everything had passed?

x

They didn't offer me a scan. It's probably just what you said xx

Well, weirdly enough, I got a line on the opk. I don't normally get even a whiff of a line til the day before my positive opk, 2 days max. This is far too early for me to be ovulating!!

That'll be me opk testing for the next 8 days then.

Here's the pic, although it doesn't show the line very well.

oooo exciting, good job u tested early :) i did a fluke opk this cycle on day 16 (last 2 cycles have been quite long like 35 daysish so dunno wot made me do it so early but good job i did as it came up really dark, exactly same as control line...why do our bodies mess with us eh! XXXX

But why on earth would I be ovulating this week? My cycles are only ever late, never early. My body must be really keen to jump back on the bfp bandwagon again!! :D
Will check again tonight and see if it's darker again.

Well, opk tonight was slightly darker than yesterday, and at one end (there always seems to be a thin line darker than the rest) it was almost as dark as the control.

I'm finding this so bizarre, never heard of LH surge during CD11 of a cycle when someone has normal length cycles, never mind my usual 30-32 day cycles!! A whole week early is just strange.

I guess miscarriages really put the whack on your cycles :(

Although we just :bd: so I guess I'm not gonna complain if the 2ww starts a week early!!

Oops forgot opk pic!

Well I think I may have ovulated on the 4th, when I was getting the cramps and pains, because my opks are now faint as anything. I obviously didn't start opks early enough and if I ovd on the 4th I probably missed my surge on the 3rd.
Still, at least we dtd the day after ov, that's a small comfort if that's it over this month.

I just don't get how this can happen!! If I did ov on the 4th, that was CD9, totally the wrong time of the month for me, 9 days early in fact!

I'll have to keep opk testing though throughout the next fortnight just in case I happen to ovulate! My cycle is so weird.

Leesey the pain you prob felt from your ovarys the other day was most likely swelling of the ovarys i.e follicles growing getting ready to ovulate. You can have this bad pain for even a hr on & off then suddenly stop & not feel sod all for days. Keep testing because you might not of ovulated yet. Test twice a day around 3 & 7.

Goodluck hun. xx

Hi Star,

I know what the ovulation pains feel like for me, and it tends to be on the day of ovulation for me, which is why I was confused. I shouldn't usually ovulate until CD18, this was on CD9, hence my confusion.

Testing times vary for everyone, and can vary from month to month. I've had stronger positives at different times of the day, my strongest being at 11.25pm one night! So it really depends on the individual what time is best for them.

As I said before, I will be testing throughout the month as I said I still might ovulate.

Hmm, appears I had my surge today. This picture shows another almost-positive (darker at one side than the other) from half 7 and then a definite negative tonight. Guess that will be ov day tomorrow!
Sorry for the crappy pic, couldn't be bothered finding better light :p

Edit: The pic does not look as positive as it does in real life! One side is almost as dark as the control, but not the other side. This is what I usually get anyway, I never get a same-as-control line.

Best get to it! ;) x

Now officially in huff with DH, as he rejected my seductions for the third night in a row. Now worried that we've missed our best chance. He is not in my good books, that's for sure. He has got some serious grovelling to do and I hope for his sake I don't get a negative opk today as well and last night's was just a fluke!
Still, I haven't had any ov pains today so maybe not had eggy drop by yet, might get a chance tonight if he's forgiven :)

lol o dear.....last cycle my DH was in dog house as he was "too tired" to BD .... TTC turns us into crazy babymaking nymphomaniacs dont think our DH's know whats hit them....if ur anything like me ur hormones are all over the place where ur either snappy, weepy, or rampantly horny lol

lets hope its all made worth while by some bfp's eh! then DH's will have pregnancy hormones to contend with lol xxxx

Unfortunately Bellarina I've had a much higher libido than him our whole relationship. I have come to expect that we won't be at it like rabbits all the time, but he knows we can't make a baby without it (duh! as if he even needs reminding) so I don't know what he's playing at. Grr!!
