Ok so I had a routine check up today with my obstetrician and I mentioned to him that I had been experiences a few "wet patches" over the past few days. He said in that case he'd like to do an internal just to take a swab to send off to make sure I had no infection etc. So he had a look and said he couldn't see anything too suspect and did a cervical swab and said it could just be a case of thrush and I was fine to use a canestan pesary blah blah blah...anyway so I just got home and went to loo and I have a big, very wet patch :? much bigger than I've had before. Has the internal just "stirred" something up or what? Anyone shed any light on this? He felt my tummy etc and said that the baby is not fully engaged yet but very low and on it's way there. Ok so anyone have any idea why I may be leaking more now?!

its completely normal... the exact same happened with me after my internal
you are kind of "opened up" down there with an internal so it makes things a lot more watery!

Sounds similar to me...Ive been having water leaking since my membrane sweep yesterday but the docs say that they can't confirm that my waters have broken as there is no 'pooling' at the cervix. But today the leaking is still continuing on and off.

I think internals can stir things up!

okey dokey...I am still hoping that this internal may spark something off though  This preganancy lark is so confusing...I really do wish babies were delivered by storks, it would make life so much easier :rotfl:

Im doing my online Tesco grocery shopping all ready for OH to survive when I go in for my induction tomorrow. I know what you mean about wishing babies could be delivered by storks...Im this close to checking if Tesco online will deliver my baby for an extra £4.99 delivery charge lol.

I doesn't really sound like thrush to me...I mean, I had it once and it is pure torture, it's sore and painful and so itchy you want to rip your skin right off. You would know if you had it!

I've been "wetting myself" a little bit all along, can't stop wearing panty liners, but it's clear and just like water...

thats exactly the same as me. i was up the hospital yesterday for pains and mentioned i kept having wet patches and she did an internal and took a swab and said it was probably thrush. altho i have no signs of thrush and i find it hard to believe thrush has caused hurrendous period pain for the last 3 days but we will see what the tests come back as! At least it will put ure mind at rest when the results come back

 I'm also wondering whether it's thrush for me too!? I 've had thrush before and it's kinda itchy and not so watery but then again the obstetrician I have been seeing is a specialist in complicated pregnancies so I feel like I should trust his judgement :? Oh well I guess we'll find out soon enough?! :?

i got a letter 2 week after the swab which said i had to see my doctor for some treatment.. but they didnt say on the letter what it was.
so i phoned up and asked cos i was worrying.
it was bacterial vaginosis and i got a weeks worth of antibiotics... i've finished them now but the "wateryness" is still there
