hi everyone. i know im only 6 weeks.. lol. and shouldnt be in this room. but i always sneek in and have a nose at everyone.. this is my 2nd pregnancy and i want a home birth.. just curious to see what you need for a home birth? do you need to be in your bed or can you birth in your living room? do u need waterproof sheets n stuff? thanks

i'v been told i need plastic sheets etc to protect the bed but i'v got a birth-pool-in-a-box and i hope to deliver under water. i might get like a plastic sheet to put under the pool in case theres splashes. and u need like old towels as well 2 soak up and blood and goo! after i'v given birth in a week or two i'll let u kno if theres anything i'd forgot that i really needed!
the MW will hav a chat with u about it nearer the time. just let them kno at ur booking in that u wanna home birth.

ive got a 10ft chids pool that i am hoping to use..not sure if we will be able to yet.. but its here if we want it..i dont have my booking appt for another 2 weeks.. im just determined to get what i want this time.. its really hard because when ur on ur 1st and your quite young u just go with what people say and dont have your own mind, im just hoping she will say that my records show that i would be ok for a home birth, we are quite lucky here (could be unlucky i supose though) we have a birth centre that is aobut 4 miles away but the nearest hospitals about 15 miles away..so i think our community midwifes push for home birth.. i would love to either birth at hime or at the centre.. hospitals scare me..i hate them!
