what happens at the dentist?

when i was young, i used to be gknocked unconsious when having teeth out. what happens now? do poor kids have to endure the needle in the mouth and staying awake with someone tugging at there teeth?

If they want gas now - generally they have to go to hospital rather than the dentist becuase of the risks.

Josh always has gas and we go along to the hospital. After we've wrestled the chairs out of his hands and I've held him down (don't even ask - the child will jump off a huge ramp on a skateboard but will not go to the dentists peacefully even though he's always gone from being a toddler) he has the gas wakes up in a little recovery room fine and well and asks for something to eat

If you can get them used to the needle instead - DO IT

coor. thats so mean to make kids have the needle. it bloomin hurts with a needle, and i usually feel everything.

i know they out ruled it because a child died at the dentist because of it, but theres a risk of that with any aneasthetic (sp)
