Honestly if it was me I would have Ffion wearing a helmet but apart from that I don't see why she shouldn't climb with Ffion on her back if she's made all the safety checks. I don't recall ever reading an article about the fact that some parents allow children of all ages to ride bikes without helmets and I would think that would be much more dangerous than this. I'm not an 'experienced' rock climber but I've done a bit and I don't see any harm in what she's doing.

I think as long as the child is safe its ok- but clearly she isn't, as she is not wearing a helmet!! I doubt she'd put her in the car without her seatbelt! I thought it was shocking personally!
