Ok, so I work in a bookshop. While I'm on mat leave I still have all my benefits of working there, which include being able to borrow any book in store for two weeks to read!!!

I need some inspiration! I want to get some new ones to have a read. So tell me what you are all reading at the moment!

Just finished reading "Call the Midwife"

:talkhand: It'll probably be another 6 months before I read again...

Mary Higgins Clark - On the Streets Where You Live (I think that's what it is, I can't be bothered to go upstairs to check :rotfl: )
It's just one I closed my eyes and grabbed off my mum's bookshelf as I couldn't choose  It's really good though :D

currently it's the Argos catalogue

I'm looking for Xmas ideas! Although I will be following this thread with much interest because I'm off on my hols next week and I'll need a couple of good books for by the pool!

Gordon Ramsey- Playing with fire

Just finished Beach Babylon which was very interesting.

Ian Rankin - Exit Music, particularly good if you've read others in the series and followed the Rebus story or are from/live in/familiar with Edinburgh.

I love all the Babylon books :D

The Take by Martina Cole, I've read most of her books and they are all pretty good. Bit gruesome at times!!

i like virginia andrews but not reading anything at the moment.

Scar Tissue by Anthony Kiedis. Fran recommended it to me :cheer:

im reading Cry silent tears - one of these books simlilar to a child called it

I am reading jades autobiography. Just finished richard hammmonds which was brill. Got hannahs gift still to read.

As usual, I've got several on the go simultaneously.

Currently I'm reading Stephen Fry's "Making History", Stephen Pinker's "The Stuff of Thought", Terry Pratchett's "Going Postal" and David Quammen's "The Song of the Dodo".

What kind of stuff are you into? One of the coolest fantasy series for people who love books is Jasper Fforde's "Thursday Next" Series. It's about a literary detective who's solving crimes in literature and lives in a parallel world where the Crimean war is still raging and Wales is a Socialist Republic.

These books are also to blame for me living in England now and being pregnant- through reading his books I found Jasper's website and there started chatting with my bloke.

I'm re-reading Edward Rutherford's Sarum, for about eh 6th time, I love his books.
Before that it was Hunting Unicorns by Bella Pollen

I absolutely loved reading this book :cheer:

I love it too Jools :cheer: I'm only halfway through but I can't stop reading it. I go to bed about 11.30pm and before I know it, its nearly 1am  I'm so tired this week!

.............Anthony Kiedis is yummy!

I'm reading 'Interpretation of Murder', a crime novel with Sigmund Freud as one of the detectives, it's a Richard and Judy choice.

I was a birthday pressie and I REALLY want to love it (and think I will) but it's slow so far.

How to kill your husband (and other handy household hints) by Kathy Lette. Quite amusing but would probably find it funnier if I was in my 40's.

Just finished the Shopoholic series of books which I found hilarious. I'm into funny books written by women.
