I have realised something, although I'm extremely passionate about Jack, My family and OH and in that sense am extremely passionate I have nothing else.

Like some people I talk to even on here, their passions are music, or the environment or even just movies. They know a lot about that subject and have studied everything about that subject (imagine squig but with just one topic  )

So what is it your passionate about? and where can I get some of this passion from? I feel as though I'm missing out :?

lmao
i don't really have a passion for anything i don't think

sex education and fundraising/awareness to prevent sexual abuse.

i'm in the middle of research for a letter to my MP to put sexual abuse into sex education in secondary schools instead of being a taboo subject. it's something i feel strongly about as a victim and knowing the lack of support available to young girls regarding it. i've also done a lot of charity gigs for NAPAC, crimestoppers, victim support etc... to look after victims.

sorry that's a bit of a depressing answer, but it's what i'm passionate about :)

 well done you

ditto, I like it when people actually do stuff rather than just talk about it

Im passionate about music and my personal path to enlightenment, though I dont think i'll ever be a famous singer, or even close to fully enlightened

I used to be very passionate about politics and was a pro-active and frontline member of SWP, ANL, RTS and NUFF, but became very disillusioned with it all about 7 years ago, and now try to avoid politics as much as possible.

I think becoming passionate about something is never something you can force....you just got to find something that flicks that switch, and imo being passionate about your family is very very worthwhile so you shouldn't feel like something is missing

  leckershell :D

Im really passionate about music. Listening to music, singing, dancing to it, playing etc. I would be very depressed without it. I wouldnt say I know LOADS about it though. I cant read music for a start but I can still play the piano by ear. I think its just something that Id be pretty lost without.

Domestic abuse. Im a housing Officer and I am so angry about some so called proffesionals view of women who are victims of DA.

Many victims lie and are deceptive but in most instances that is because of the control that their OH's put upon them. What gets me is that we are all trained and told this but sometimes when a wonam comes in to the office seeking help you get the attitude (from staff) "Oh ignore her, shes a liar, she said that last time but went back to him anyway"  I was also trying to get a victim rehoused and the emergency accomodation manager said to me "Whats the point, she'll only go back to him"   I made a complaint about her saying she had training needs lol

I would ideally like to work supporting victims of DA :)

Also rather passionate about being green

Oh and I got spikeys into tamworths licensee committee and some of the pubs now have them available to prevent date rapes :)

I used to be the County Chairman for Bucks for the EDP so I'm very passionate about politics with particular interest to devolution and a Campaign for An English parliament. The injustice between the countries of the UK enrages me  ...........from free presciptions, to uni fees, west lothian, the barnett formula, etc etc I could go on and on!! After starting my own business and falling pregnant I no longer had the time to dedicate to it.....................might get back into it very soon

i feel passionately about anti-smacking, music by Queen, and working with children (i am training to be a teaching assistant). Also animal rights.

I'm passionate about animals and am very proud to be vegetarian (although I don't like to preach about it). I am also passionate about people who are nice and lead good honest lives. I was out shopping the other day and I over heard one woman say to her friend "thats the trouble nowadays, nobody cares about anyone else" and I really wanted to say to her "no please don't think like that, I'm a good person with thought and consideration for others and I care about people!" But obviously I didnt because she would have called security probably lol I just think its nice to be nice and I would go out of my way to help someone and I always try and be thoughtful and polite.

I also feel passionately about knowledge. I can't understand people who don't read books or have no interest in our planet and universe. I'm not the sharpest tool in the box but I love to learn about new things and I love to read.

Essay over. Phew!

sorry  I also have a passsion for this thread and other people who have a passion :rotfl:

Id say books for me! Books about anything, new books, old books, tatty books etc

I love being in 2nd hand book shops and my book collection is my absolute fave thing!!

Also, Im passionate about poetry and prose, reading and writing.

Family would be top of my list, over everything in life - family comes first, and its what im most passionate about, and i would do anything to protect any of them

other than that, i guess my biggest passion is engineering and anything mechanical, wanted to be an engineer since i was knee high but was always pushed away from it by my parents/schools - wanting me to go into computing for a "better life, with more money" been reading about everything mechanical since i was old enough to read, taught how to work on cars and electrics from a very young age, so pretty much anything with an engine has my attention - mostly seems to be cars, motorbikes and planes tho lol

and the passion i rarely ever admit to is for literature - mostly poetry, but also including some prose - most guys secret stashes are full of porn, mines are full of notebooks from the last 10 years where ive written everything in my head, and most of that is also poetry!

ooh... and can throw in art with that too, been a passion since i was young, and it always will be, more interested in doing my own than viewing other peoples - guess that explains my extreme interest in tattooing too

My passion at the moment is studying. I am desparate to train as an educational psychologist, so I am currently re-reading all my old psychology information and realising how much I loved it!!!!!

ooo snap, I am thinking about doing the doctorate to become an Ed psych whilst I have a few years off of work. I would have to do it part time though because I want to be at home with my LO.

I am very very very very passionate about Special Needs Education. I am very against the current climate of chucking all children with severe SEN into mainstream schools in the name of 'inclusion'. Whilst a noble sentiment, it just wont work for all children. We are currently fighting to keep our excellent special school open as the local authority wants to shut it and farm our kids into main stream :x

I am also very passionate about the environment and recycling....I don't do nearly enough, so I am on a crusade to become uber energy efficient in the new year.

And whilst I will ALWAYS support a human charity before an animal charity (did you know that animal charities are bequeathed more money annually that any other type of charity?) I am VERY passionate about banning fox hunting. I know a bill was passed BUT it is still going on and it makes my blood boil. :x
