Can anyone please help us out here please? Can you inform me what me and my partner are entitled to money wise once our wee peanut has arrived? I know people have mentioned these tax credits etc etc but does this effect on how much you earn? Can you let me know what every single person is entitled to irrelvant on how much they earn? Thanks
If it's completely irrelevant of what you earn you are only entitled to child benefit (£20 a week). If your household income for the tax year is under a certain amount (I think it's about £60 000) you are also entitled to child tax credits. Have a look at www.entitledto.co.uk and it will tell you exactly what you might be entitled to based on your income.
