Just start to feel guilty and bad when everyone (my parents are the worse for it) spends lots of money on there partners and family etc (and expect the same back) and all I can afford to get is a DvD and a box of chocs

don't feel bad, I'm in the same position oh said to me yesterday he doesn't mind at all as his (slightly delayed) Christmas pressie will be a gorgeous baby and he'd rather if I have any money to spend it on stuff for her anyway xx

Same we set a budget each ear and stick to it.. This year it's £200. When we set the budget at beginning if year u start putting money aside each month from wages for Xmas.. And I start buying in July lol so it doesn't seem like a bit splurge all at once. Xmas is just not worth getting into debt for

just thought I'd share...just got oh some joke socks and a couple of books he's wanted for ages from amazon only cost 1p each +£2.80 p&p so £2.83 all together, not too shabby!

Mine only wants a book, it's $250 plus $125 postage from USA, can't get it anywhere else
its book or nothing so I relented and got the book, we only spend 100 on each other so MiL put in the rest

Spoiler alert, if hubby is reading... Bugger off, the rest is secret.....

Charlie got him a bottle of cockburn port from 2003 when we met, and I'm having the bottle engraved with a To Daddy type thing
The other thing is I'm making a picture of scrabble pieces in a frame spelling out 'daddy' and Charlie, just gotta find some scrabble pieces now
