What age do kids go to nursery (free)

Thank god my daughter was a week early!! She was due April 6th but arrived on March 30th so will just sneak in on the Easter term!! Yay!! Makes a big difference as to when we can start trying for number two. If she'd arrived on her due date I would have had to wait another 6 months!

I'm soooooo annoyed cos T was born on 3 hours into 1st April. Means that she probably won't go to nursery until September. Though having said that, some schools up here take in straight after 3rd birthday but not all of them. We will, I think, still get the 15 hours of education though which will contribute to nursery costs though.

Another thing to bear in mind is that although you get the hours free you may still have to pay for food etc. Depends on the nursery x

Is Scotland different? I think they start here now just after there 3rd birthday. My friends little boy is 3 in Dec and he's starting in Dec?x
