Went Hospital

Hi,

Went to the hospital this morning as contractions were really strong, had an internal and found out that I was 1 cm dilated so we decided to come back home and wait.

I'm 8 days overdue now, any idea how long it normally takes to be at least 4 cm diliated?

it's totally different for each person, just try and keep active and hopefully that will push things along, I went from 2 to 4cm in about 1 hour

It varies with each person. I would say to try and keep upright and walk around as gravity helps. If you have a birthing ball use it and circle your hips etc as it helps the baby move down.

Hi,

I'm still at home have been walking around my living room and also have a bath contractions are getting more painful than earlier 5-8 mins apart lasting approx 60 seconds. Not sure what to do.

I wish it was all over!!!

I just wish I knew how much I was dilated.

Ohh hope things speed up for you. Maybe jsut wait until the pain gets worse then go in?
