I'm still here... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Had my mw appointment at the ungodly hour of 8am, and have to go back on Monday for vampires...

Found out I get two birthing options, either a) Epidural the moment I walk through the door.... or b) totally natural with no form of pain killer what so ever... (not even gas and air or a nice warm birthing pool    )

What would you do ???

...So Who's missing? Annem and Okasaan were the last two MIA...

Epidural then, not as if you are spoilt for choice is it?

id go epidural definately - especially if it is a constant one and can be titred according to your level of discomfort - although in saying that if it wasnt an abulatory one and you have to stay in bed the whole time regardless id maybe reconsider   - that is a terrible decision to have to make from the outset

i think i'd go for the epidural too... much as i really want a natural birth, i know i've got the entinox / birth pool / tens options - and the painkillers after that if i need them. but if you have to make a choice in advance, then def epidural...!

either buy a bottle of gas and air privately and take it with you or if no other choice Epidural, unless you can get a plane ticket back to UK in time. :rotfl:

I remember the after pains are so much worse 2nd time around so i'd have it just for that if nothing else.

I had Tia in the UK with an epidural.. :)

Dunno why I only get two options, tbh I'm really lucky I have the epidural option because most hospitals in Spain don't even have that

They are light years ahead in somethings here, and then decades behind in others.... *sigh*

As for the after pains... I had 5 bags of oxcytocin pushed into me after having Tia to stop the haemorrhaging and to try and get my placenta go.... all to no effect other than having the most horrific uterine contractions for Days and Days after I gave birth...

Can you get bottles of gas and air privately
