For quite a few weeks i've been getting really dizzy when i stand up and do things, mostly when its hot. I've spoken to my midwife whom says its just low blood pressure and to make sure i'm rested, drink plenty and eating properly. Which i have been doing.

Recently, after a trip to Tesco resulted in my OH having to hold me up by the time we got to the checkout, i've decided to do the majority of my shopping online unless its really awful weather! But yesterday i had to go get some feeding bras which meant getting measured and fitted!

The poor woman in Mothercare, ended up having to get me a class of water after 20mins in the fitting room saw me with blood rushing past my ears and threatening to take a nose dive to the floor!

Anyone have any ideas how to combat this? I have 3 weeks or so to go, and its summer and so far i appear to be stuck to the sofa. I can't spend time outside as its too hot and i start feeling really ill and i'm struggling to do things like make lunch without having to sit on a stool

Didn't want to read and run but I'm not sure. I just hope you start to feel a bit better soon. Maybe try keep cool with lots of fans around?xx

Poor you, must be horrible, all I do is moan about how crap the weather is up here in Scotland, maybe I'm lucky! Not sure what else you can do if your drinking plenty, resting and eating properly. I'm a bit of a fainter so always eat regularly, if I don't I feel dizzy, my BP low too. Sounds silly but when you do walk about make sure you move your arms too, you want the blood pumping round your whole body not just your legs where it can pool to cause you to feel dizzy or faint. Least there is an end in sight soon with only 3 weeks to go, hang on in there, just do a little at a time and don't expect too much from yourself, hope you feel better soon.
