Does anyone know if the midwife/GP etc give you a rough idea of how big they think your baby will be when it's born? (in weight). If so does anyone know from experience how accurate this is?
They give you a rough idea measuring the fudus height (top to bottom of uterus) but it's not 100% accurate or probably even 50% accurate. it's just a rough guess. It also depends on how much fluid you hold when pregnant. Some people don't have much wheras others have loads!
My midwife made the prediction for me at 37 weeks of 7lb 8, I have a few weeks to go before bambino is born so will tell you how accurate she was after that
hi,
when i was pregnant with my second baby my midwife guessed right, she said she would be about 7lb and she was when she was born.
i thinks its just a rough guess tho they cant be 100% correct.
