Hey, Does anyone know if the midwife/GP etc give you a rough idea of how big they think your baby will be when it's born? (in weight). If so does anyone know from experience how accurate this is?
They give you a rough idea measuring the fudus height (top to bottom of uterus) but it's not 100% accurate or probably even 50% accurate. it's just a rough guess. It also depends on how much fluid you hold when pregnant. Some people don't have much wheras others have loads! HTH x
My midwife told me that my baby would be about 7lb 1. at delivery so with only 3 weeks to go ill let you know if shes right!!!! lol
My midwife made the prediction for me at 37 weeks of 7lb 8, I have a few weeks to go before bambino is born so will tell you how accurate she was after that

on my first child my midwife told me my baby was very small he was 7.15 born so she was wrong but then that was 12 years ago so who knows
