My little girl was diagnosed with a cows milk allergy at 4wks old. She has always been dreadful with her milk intake and even now at 17wks she rarely takes more than 2oz at each feed, sometimes its a fight to get that into her, its even more worrying for me when I know it'll be at least 4hrs or more until she will at least attempt another feed! Anyway, yesterday we started weaning properly after speaking with the gp about it previously. I asked if she would be tested properly for a cows milk allergy and he said no because they don't do that and that its all trial and error! So my question is at what stage do you give something containing cows milk (egg butter etc) to see if there is an allergy?
Thanks for any help!

what milk is she on? yuou say she was diagnosed?

Generally if she has a cows milk allergy you dont let them try it until 1 yr old. at all x

The rules atm is that you dont introduce dairy until 6 months in general, if she has CMA, you need to leave it longer. Plus weaning very carefully as she may have multiple allergies. What milk is she on?

Tapatalking so cant see signatures
