    i know alot of ladies on here are considering water births and home birth, found this amazin photo diary of some one having a waterbirth at home in a paddling pool

    Wow- ouch but wow! This is my first so I'm going for a hospital birth but there might be a birthing pool available if I'm lucky... hmm.

    It's quite funny actually as I was just looking at the photos at work in the library and one of the students saw my face and said "Why so serious?!" Why indeed...? Are you sure babies can't just be beamed out like on Star Trek...?

    I would like a water birth but our hospital only has one pool to 7 delivery rooms, so the chances of getting in there are pretty slim :(

    That baby looks a big 8.8lb doesn't she? I'm really worried about pushing something that big out :shock:

    We have one birthing pool room out of 8 in my hospital :( BUT! I'm gonna phone well in advance and make sure the woman is out of there :lol:

    Good find Paradysso - that's amazing (and a little frightening!!!).

    I'm still interested in a water birth, though may think about using it just for labour!!
