Water infection?!

Sorry if this is a bit TMI but was looking for some advice....

For the past week or so, I have (on and off) been stinging when I pee,(not too bad but enough so that it is not pleasant!) also need to pee loads more but when I go there isn't much, and feel uncomfortable in my lower tummy and get sudden urges to go! I also have a lot of white and clear discharge, and get itchy and am a bit red and sore down there...

Does this sound like a water infection? It feels different to thrush as I had that a month or so ago and that was just pure itchiness!

I think I will go to the doctors tonight if I can get an appointment to have it checked out anyways but wondered if anyone else had this?

I was also wondering if the doctor would be likely to sign me off work while it gets better?

I haven't had it since being pg but have suffered UTI's in the past and it does sound like that's what you've got.

Ask the doc to sign u off, I'm sure s/he will x

I have been feeling really low in energy for the past week and today I have just had enough!

I have made an appointment with the doctor for this evening so hopefully she will be able to confirm that is what it is...

I take it there are no medicines that I will be able to take?

It does sound like it could be a UTI, or maybe cystitis?
I'm sure the doc will sign you off!

All medicines , I think , would say check with doctor if pregnant before taking ,It sounds to me like it may be cystitis, you can help the symptons of that by drinking lots of water or milk and avoiding fruit juices this should dilute your pee and stop it stinging so much until your appointment tonight , Good luck xx

I have been drinking lots of water but because I work in a school I can't leave a lesson once I am in there - so am wary of drinking too much because I can only go once an hour!! lol

It does feel a bit like cystitus now you mention it!

I really hope the doctor signs me off - it's horrible trying to work and feeling so grotty....

Just back from the doctor who says I have cystitus AND thrush! Which explains why I couldn't work out what it was!

Got cannestan pessary and antibiotics which Dr said is completely safe to take while pregnancy.

And she signed me off work for the rest of the week, which is great - now I can just rest!
