Vitamin K injection?

    Hello girls!!!

    My midwife asked me if i wanted my baby to have the vitamin K injection? I said yes but she said that years ago doctors said it could be related to babies having leuchemia but that nothing has been proved about this.

    did all your babies have the injection?

    Yep - both my two did and this one will too.

    Its much better to have it than not.

    Mine had it too, the risks of not having it weigh up more I would say.

    It's highly recommended if you have forceps or vontouse delivery due to possible head trauma. I delivered without interception though and still had the injection - as the others have said, the benefits seemed to outweigh the potential problems.

    If you dont have it a doctor will come and see you in the hospital and lecture you about it. ( I asked about it and that's what my delivery MW said)

    Brody had it, I think a huge percentage of kids must have it.

    Phoebe had her vitamin K jab too. I think it's the norm to be honest. :D
