Very Bad News - Empty Sac :(

Hi,

Well, I had my first scan today, and they found an empty sac They did an internal scan, and still no baby They say it is what is known in old fashioned terms as a blighted ovum, and a silent miscarraige So I have another appointment in a few days time to decide what procedure I want to remove the contents of the womb

Very shocked, not sure what to make of it all

Thanks everyone, it's a really weird feeling, coz I had and still do have some pregnancy symptoms such as tender breasts and milky vaginal discharge, though I had noticed a lack of common pregnancy symptoms from about 4 weeks, and this week before my scan, noticed my breasts not as tender. I had suffered some cramping early on but put this down to normal symptoms. Turns out this was prob a sign of a missed miscarraige
What makes it worse is that 10 years ago I had a surgical abortion . This was my second pregnancy, and it's gone wrong too
Roxann.....I am 10 weeks 6 days right now, but am going to hospital on thurs for another scan, but they have diagnosed a silent miscarraige
