Calum has only just started to be more awake for some periods of the day. Today he was fed at 5am, back to bed 5.30/5.35ish then wide wake at 7.30am till around 11am, so had playtime etc, feed at 12.30pm then slept while we were out shopping till 5.30ish feed, then slept till 9pm has fed and now wide awake!
He currently has Nutriprem 2 formula of which he has 3fl oz every feed and the box says this should be for a 7.5lbs baby, Calum is 6lb 10oz last week weighing.

Should i increase all daily feeds or just give a larger amount at night??

I'm not sure about that type of formula but when Becky started draining a bottle we were advised just to up it by an ounce so that she had the option to drink more if she wanted. Is he finishing his bottles?

Yes sorry missed that off my post :wall:
His even slapping his chops together once his finished

Wow what a hungry little lad. Mine is on Nutriprem 2 and I wish he was as hungry for it as yours. I would always advise to up daily feeds rather than night feeds. Evenutally you want him to take all his daily requirements by 10pmish and sleep through so it is good training.

Don't worry too much if he seems hungrier than the box says. All babies vary in how much they take. Your peadiatrician may advise to change to a ess calorific formula if he is taking it so well.

Cheers Becs,
I think i'll start making the feeds up on the next level so thats 150ml/5oz, then let him take what he wants during the day and then leave the night feeds to 90ml/3oz feeds.
He hadnt been getting on to good with the powder version when we come home but that seems to have changed, was having to give some ready made cartons.
He is following the 50th centile so doing good as they tell me!
