I'm gonna give up dressing Tally in anything even slightly unisex, i've had enough of people assuming she's a boy, i was even told today she was wearing a boys outfit (brown long sleeve top, jean shorts with pink detail and brown tights)

I really wish her hair would grow as i love her in blue and red but i'm not gonna keep explaining that girls can wear colours other then pink lol!!

When we go out next i'm gonna dress her head to toe in pink, then there'll be no confusing things!!

I love Stanley in red, but I hate people saying 'she'. And he's so butch

If people are so stoopid they can't be arsed to look beyond blue and pink, sod 'em!

Even in pink Connie is referred to as 'he' everywhere. It's the lack of hair rather than the colour I think.

Do you find it's mostly old people? It is here - but maybe that's because our area is populated entirely by old people :rotfl:

I was annoyed but I have a few boys bits from tescos which I put Lily in and now when they call her HE I just carry on but say SHE really loudly in the sentance. IE Yeah SHE will be one in soon SHE will.

Im such a child

I do that too :rotfl: my husband gets really embarrassed!

hehe i quite often put amelia in her pink all in one to go out in the pram, and cover her in a blue blanket!!

people don't quite know what to think!

Oh i've had this!! I put her in a blue long sleeved vest with a pink pair of dungarees and people thought she was a boy  I'm looking forward to her being old enough that people can tell she's a girl from things like hair and her face.

Amelia has very little hair too. I can't wait to be able to put clips in and pigtails! I have a few headbands i put on her, but most of the time she could be a boy!

I can dress Angel head to toe in pink and people still assume she's a boy! But she's very feminine looking! I laugh politely and walk off! I do dress her in jeans an awful lot but that's just coz it's all i wear, and they're £1.50 a pair in Asda.

Even the hair doesn't help. I was in a restaurant with a friend just before Christmas, Becky with her head full of blonde curls and wearing a purple top with sparkly butterflies - "Awww... how old is your wee boy?" said the waitress

So a lot of the time we go out she wears a top that says "in case you're wondering I'm a GIRL".

oh i want one lol!!

I go for unisex colours quite often, Fi was called HE at baby group when we went the first time -i'd dressed her in a green top and black trousers. lol.

I had this with my son Dillon! He would be in top to toe blue and still get called a "she" I gave up telling people he was a boy! lol

Annoying isnt it, I get it a lot too. I remember being in Morrisons stood in the deli queue and this woman behind me was cooing over her and said aw he's a lovely chappie and I replied she's a girl, then the woman said so why have you dressed her like a boy. She was wearing jeans with pink flower and bird detail on the bottom of one leg and loveheart buttons and bows on the side of each leg and a taupe padded coat with a pink lined and fur trimmed hood, oh and pink fur boots :wall:

Ive stopped correcting people now and just let them get on with it.

Glad I'm not the only one! I like reds and Mollys pram and car seat are red and people tend to think red is a boys colour when I think it's unisex. When I see how much pink some people put on their little girls though, I think I understand why people think she's dressed like a boy

My mum is just as bad though. Molly has a green top from Primark with a bubble car on it which has flowers on and my mum said it was a boys top and that it was blue! Crazy woman.

LO has loads of hair, so doesn't get mistaken for a boy anymore, which is good as I often dress her in unisex and even boys clothes! I don't like lots of pink, so tend to buy boys trousers for her as skirts are rubbish for crawling.
