Type 2 Diabetes/Metformin and Low milk supply

Hi All

I was wondering if anyone has type 2 diabetes and is taking Metformin for it and suffering from low milk supply? I had my son on 1st Oct and have done everything to increase my supply but still getting hardly anything and even after 45mins of breastfeeding he is still hungry. I am pumping betwern feeds and hardly anything comes out. I am taking fenugreek supplements too. I read a research that said 27% of women on metformin will have low milk supply. Just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this.

I can't help with the diabetes but I did have low milk supply. I found expressing whilst feeding helped so feed on one and pump on the other side at the same time. Are you using a manual or electric? I had to pump every two hours. Try calling a breast feeding supporter or a hv x
