Tummy pains??

Hi,
I am 27 weeks pregnant with my first baby. For the past two nights I have been woken by pains in my lower stomach. They feel like a period pain but much stronger and more painful, like a throbbing ache. Does anybody know whar these are or has anybody had them before - I am a bit worried!!

Have you spoken to your midwife hun? Could they just be Braxton Hicks?
I always go on the guideline that if you haev more than 4 Braxton Hicks in an hour, or they are coming regularly, you should call you midwife or labour unit. I hope it's just stretching pains hun!

could be a urine infection, i had one of these and i thought i was in early labour, just phone your mw hun and she will help you
