TTC with irregular cycles

A&J...noticed u have PCOS..im being tested for this when and IF i get to CD 21 could i ask what symptoms u have with this ? apart from irreg cycles im now on CD 70 i think - lost count now

I have no other symptoms really apart from the very lack of af I think my doctors was not taking me seriously until I went to them on cd149 then they started to take notice. The only other symptom that could be down to pcos is putting on a bit of weight but I think that is manly down to exercise or lack of

im not sure why i have to wait til CD 21 ?? she didnt really say CD 21 only she said 7-10 days after first day of my period when did u have your bloods done ? i too have put on weight and find it hard too loose and i know that 2 is a sign

Have you been referred by the doctor to the fertility specialist yet? Mine would not refer me until I had my bloods done and my DH had his sperm tested. Other symptoms include acne, hair growth on face and bbs.

It is awful waiting to find out the results, it hit me really hard when I got told by the fertility specialist as my doctor told me my bloods came back all normal and that he did not suspect pcos but it is so positive reading how many ladies have healthy children with pcos so that helps alot.

Another thing that I was told by fertility specialist is that they can not do a hsg or anything if my smear tests was not up to date not sure if that is for just round here or all over the uk.

I hope you don't mind me posting in here, but I just had to when I saw the title!

My cycles weren't as long as some of yours, but they were totally unpredictable after I stopped taking the pill. I waited a year before ttc but they still varied from 21 days to 45. And the doc wasn't interested.

I would definitely recommend charting. I only charted 4 cycles before I got my bfp. And in 2 of those I don't think I ov'd at all. Again, the doc wasn't interested!
It really helped to show me what was going on, and without it I would have had no idea when to get BDing.

So I just wanted to say good luck and think positive - it WILL happen.

Since m/c in January my cycles have been

43 days
25 days
35 days
31 days
26 days
28 days
27 days

But it's the LP's that are worrying me more they've been 11 or 12 days but last cycle they went down to 10 days.

So I've not been wildly irregular but still not happy with my cycles so this month I'm trying a few things

1) Magic medicine and honey to improve CM from AF to OV
2) Agnus castus from AF to OV
3) Progesterone cream from OV to AF to hopefully improve LP's

I was also contemplating taking low dose asprin from OV but I think if I take any other pills I'm gonna start rattling

so do u think i can get these bloods done anytime in my cycle ? also i do get balck hairs growing just below my tummy button could that be a sign ? and yes it is possible to have children with PCOS but i think if u have problems getting pregnant then i think they will give fertility drugs like clomid..bloody hope so anyway

After having the implamon removed on July 14th I have had half a AF an now waiting for another..............................!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would of thought that you can have the bloods anytime in the cycle like I said I was on day 154 when I had mine done, maybe your doctors are different to mine I am hoping that I will just get some fertility drugs when I go and see the consultant next month! I am not looking forward to the HSG never mind anything else!

What is a Hysterosalpingogram?

A hysterosalpingogram is a fertility test used to detect uterine and fallopain health. The HSG test uses x-ray technology to create a picture of the uterus and fallopian tubes. When you undergo an HSG test, colored dye is injected into you uterus. This dye then travels up through the fallopian tubes and out into the abdominal cavity. The HSG allows your health care provider to determine if there is any damage to your reproductive system.

The HSG procedure is performed as follows:

# You lie on an examination table and bring your knees up to your chest. You allow your knees to fall outwards, towards the table.
# A speculum is placed in your vagina, in order to expose your cervix.
# A thin catheter is inserted through your cervix and into your uterus.
# Dye is slowly released through the catheter into your uterine cavity.
# X-rays are taken as the dye flows into the fallopian tubes and spills out into the abdominal cavity.
# You will be asked to turn on to your side, so that further x-rays can be taken

Because ive got PCOS so sick of waiting for AF although id hate to go back to a regular cycle after TTC.

well i thought my cycles were evening out but not sure now on day 33 and don't think i have ovulated yet!!

normally ovulate on day 28! i had a little rise in temp and then it dropped but normally when i have ovulated it stays up consistantly! i'm not sure what my body is up to and getting so frustrated! Also my CM normally goes dry when i have OV but it has stayed wetish!

its really difficult i started taking the magic medicine on day 20 and i got so wet by day 26 i stopped thinking i would OV on day 28 but didn't so i have remained kind of wet and had stretchy CM but ?ewcm. over the weekend and especially yesterday i have had the tugging dragging feeling on my right side and really bad mid cycle tummy ache so i'm imagining i am close. had a heart to heart to DH about it today as i feel we BD'd so much last week and gave it a good go and i feel now that like we BD'd this morning just for the sake of making baby and i never want it to feel like that, and i certainly would never want him to feel as though i was doing it for that reason, he didn't really say much but i know hes getting frustrated too. i think if i didn't OV yesterday we'll leave it for this month and see what happens with my cycle.

Good luck at least you have managed to ovulate after your DH got back from his lads weekend away xx i hope you OV soon and your cycles aren't going to be too long this month

Still no AF and still getting BFN. Its safe to say I am not pregnant. Have no idea what's going on
