ttc starting nursery crazy?????

Hello everyone I don't know where to start but here goes, My husband and i started ttc last year and got pregnant on our first try. But 3months later i had a mc. We had brought a few baby clothes and things. This is our first cycle trying to conceive again and i am currently 7 or 8 days over due for af. I took a Clear blue digital 3 days late and i got a negative. My husband is a infantry officer so he is away a lot! I'm from New Zealand but currently living in France so you can imagine how lonely it really is. We will be moving in July and lately i have been thinking about using the 2nd bedroom in our soon to be apartment as a nursery!! I haven't even got a bun in the oven and i just can't help feeling as if i wan't to go out and start buying baby stuff to start my nursery!!! In some weird way i feel as if it will make me happy!! i have been watching youtube nursery videos for ideas!! I think i'm going crazy but i just can't help the urge to go out and buy stuff or start a nursery collage of things i would like. has anyone heard of someone that has made a nursery before they even got pregnant? am i really that crazy??

I think that you maybe fell empty? I know that I used to have a sense of emptiness for years before I actually started speaking about problems I had to a councilor but obviously you are in france so I understand this could be difficult.

Some people disagree with buying in stuff early but tbh I dont think that theres anything wrong with it, each to their own. I think though alot of people dont buy in stuff incase they have a miscarriage and obviously they are left with the baby stuff as a reminder which can be quite upsetting..

If it was me I dont see anything wrong with bits n bobs like lotions but I would maybe not decorate or buy in anything big for your nursey just yet.. I am moving into a 2bedroom flat also before I have became pregnant I move in today actually I get my keys and Im not pregnant but I wont be decorating as I think if anything were to happen when I got pregnant I would like it as a reminder...

Thanks so much yes i know i'm crazy but i think the idea of buying little things now and then would work. I just hope i don't get to crazy about it lol

I dont think theres anything wrong with it.

I think its just to save yourself from disapointment. Eg if you didnt know you couldnt have babies and you built a nursey and got some things.. It would really hurt more if you have items and have purposely done stuff in preparation to falling pregnant. But I do understand why people do it. I havent bought anything except fertility things, then probably as soon as I find out I probably will change and think awwww Ill get this and that. But personally for me, definately not before you have a baby....

I am guilty of buying baby clothes. I have even shopped for maternity clothes. So I don't think you're crazy....

if i see nice maternity clothes in the sale i buy them as i know itl cost a fortune when i do get pregnant

I always have a look at baby clothes and prams but I have not bought anything yet. I am guilty of buying clothes that will fit me during pregnancy.

I look at baby and maternity stuff but I haven't bought anything. I agree with the others, each to their own and as long as its not detrimental to ur well being or anything then why not?! Good luck x

I havnt bought anything YET but we have a 2 tins. 1 for baby to be and the other for the wedding. We put £20 a month in each atm and any loose change just so we have a little bit of something. But i'm very guilty of looking at baby clothes and prams etc!!
