Hi ladies

I have a question regarding ttc and running and other types of exercise

I'm a runner and run around 10 miles a week sometimes more sometimes less
i usually run 3 miles at least or 6 miles at most (Currently)

i like to strength train and lift weights but would you say doing all this could ruin my chances of
getting pregnant?

usually my weeks looks like this
m- run
t - run and strength
w- rest
th - Run and strength
Fr- run
sat rest
sun- what i choose

just wondered as will if there is any runners on here and what your opinions are, iv pulled out of training for a half marathon and marathon this year so i dont do too much and not get pregnant.

thanks all x

I think the advice is you can continue to run while TTC and also pregnant, as this is what your body is used to. Keeping fit is actually recommended while trying for a baby! A friend of mine is 36 weeks pregnant and has went to the gym all through her pregnancy, as she always did prior to being pregnant. I'd be more cautious of weight training while in your two week wait and during pregnancy, maybe for that you could find an alternative? Found this on the NHS choices site for you :)
