Has anybody got any info on this?

I've only ever read that being overweight can affect ovulation (make it late, make it disappear) - but I ovulate perfectly well every month (even without the Clomid) so I can't see how it's affecting anything that way.

Is there something other implication, aside from the 'affecting ovulation' thing?

Meanwhile, OH and I are joining WeightWatchers next Thursday .. oh no lol, I'm absolutely dreading it :rotfl:

I'm in WW and it is good - dont be dreading it, the diet is really easy to follow and everyone is really nice x

Good luck x

Thanks Frances! I'm just dreading learning something new and changing my ways!

Do you use the online thing that they have too?

laura i dont think being overweight affects anything
good luck with weight watchers never tried that one you will have to let me know how you get on xxxxx

I think that the reason the being over weight doesnt help TTC is because if your eating unhealthily it can upset your cycle, its not even nesisarily a case of being over weight, it can be not eating enough, which can cause you to stop having periods, so poor diet, smoking, lach of general fitness can upset your cycle causing problems with TTC.

Thanks you two ...... so if my cycle is all in order (which it always is, as far as I can see) there's no reason to worry about my weight being the reason why I'm not getting PG? (I'll still be dieting anyway unfortunately  )

Oh but anyway, I'm NOT going to WeightWatchers next Thursday ..... I forgot I'll be in Birmingham! :cheer:

Maybe the dieting will give your body a nudge??
Might not need it though!!

lol, I'm not so sure but thanks anyway Hayley :D

My friend had an abortion at 17 and then a miscarriage a few months ago at 6weeks.

They thought the abortion may have damaged her womb so she would never be able to carry a baby so she went for tests last week.

They had a good look around and all was fine.

She has been unable to concieve since her miscarriage and she was told it's because she is overweight and has very high colestorel

Hi

Laura just thought ide wish you luck with the weight watchers , i had no idea weight could affect things, looking at the pics of you i dont think you even look over weight .
Katrina

BubbleOne .... thanks for your reply ..... does your friend know whether she ovulates properly every month? I've also had my cholestorol checked and (God knows how) it's actually okay at the moment!

Katrina - I just did a top shot to hide it all

I got a treadmill yesterday! Well actually it was mine to begin with - then my mum had it for a while and now I've got it back.

I have NO excuses now - I have weighed myself this morning, and I'm going to put a weight loss ticker up later on to embarrass myself into sticking to it

As I say, no WeightWatchers this Thursday, but hopefully next week, but meanwhile am going to get on with getting fitter with the treadmill and swimming :D

Hi

Well i wish yu all the luck.... i know its hard to lose the weight but so easy to gain :(
At least you have someone joining with you which helps
Katrina

my cousin and her DH were told they were struggling to have kids because they were over weight, now Mark has lost over 3 stone in less than a year with weight watchers.
