TTC 7 months now, can it be it ?

As this is my first post here, I want to say hi to everyone.
I am 25yo and I live in Poland, me and my bf are ttc for some time now, although he lives 1000km away, and we do not see each other that often. I am taking duphaston pills for the last 5 months to help me conceive as I always was a bit too short on my cycles, sometimes below 18 days. I always had my period 2-3 days after I took the last pill, but this time it's already 8 days and I still do not have my period no signs of it like I usually had. Sometimes I have some cramps in my belly but much lighter then my usual menstrual pains. Also my breasts are pretty sore what never happened for my pms before, and my bras all got too small for me out of a sudden. I do feel a bit moody and sometimes I urinate frequently, but other days I don't. Took 2 home pregnancy test, one on the period due date on Dec 9th and the other on Sunday Dec 13th, both in the very morning and both straight negative. My ovulation was around Nov 23rd. Did any of you have similar problem ? How long can it take for the test to be positive ? I have to still wait a few days before I can see a doctor. I might be stressed out but usually my period was only early, never late, even when I had depression three years ago. I am very confused on what's going on now. Can I be pregnant although the tests are negative ?

Hi and welcome Of course with a late/missed period there is the possibility you may have conceived , I would say try and relax until your doctors appointment (I know its easier said than done) But when you go there you will be able to have your mind put at rest with hopefully a BFP.. It is known for some women not being able to get a positive from a urine sample on a HPT.. It might be an idea to ask for a blood test when you go to see your doctor.. Lots of baby dust for you I will keep everything crossed for you, and let us know how you got on xx

I bought another test but I am kindof afraid to do it and seeing it negative again, although my period has no signs of coming yet and its 7 days late already. Also my doctor cancelled all her apps till the end of the year because she is pretty ill
I think I will have to go and make a blood test but I am kindof worried what can I do when I see a negative again. I hate when my body plays tricks on me, and hate when I dunno what is going on. Makes ttc like a true roulette...

sorry to hear your in two minds all you can do is test again really and if it is a bfn then dont get too down some people cant even read a bfp will like ten - 15 days after period is due so i would say test but its not over till you get your af good luck hun x x x x

You are really keeping my mind up with this, my DBF told me he thinks its pretty not probable I'm pregnant as the tests went negative, I wanted to spank him
I really hope this is a situation when the tests are wrong, and now I do not get my appointed visit at the doctor I am kinda blank and need to think of what to do.

All right, so I did another hpt test just yet and guess what... it's still negative. Not even a faintest shade. I feel like cheated.
Moreover, for the last 2 days there was snowing here so heavy I needed over 3 hours to get to the city so ofc I was late to take any blood test even if I wanted to.

My nauseas are getting worse, I get them in the evening not morning, especially when I get to lie down to bed. Also my breasts are still sore and I get a sortof stiffening feelings in the abdomen, but they are pretty light and not all the time. And I feel bloated. This is very uncommon for me even for my pms, I feel none of the regular signs of my period coming. It's mine 9th day overdue.

It truly does sound like pregnancy symptoms.. Everything is leaning toward it.. I would say try your best to get a blood test sorted as soon as you can.. I have everything crossed for you hun Must be nerve wrecking for you x

Uhh I took a look in the pregnancy line and I see a shade of a line there, like a very very faint mark, and I do not see it when i look straight onto it but when i hold the test a little bit sideways. I dunno what to think of it, they say test is not valid after half an hour but maybe i missed it earlier. Have no idea. Gosh This is driving me absolutely insane. Maybe I am just imagining this. I so wish it was true! And to see the happiness on my DBF's face, instead of concern. Oh my...

No, it was not the proper time because I done the test in the morning and I noticed the line almost at noon, it was not even a line but as I said a ghost and you could only see it when you looked sideways lol. And now the test paper went all yellowish and I cannot see anything there at all. Guess it was just my sick imagination. Ehh my mind started to play tricks on me...

It's probably an evaporation line after that length of time.

Yeah I think I am already trying to trick myself so I am just going to give up for a while and wait. I read a lot of stories about girls being pregnant but testing negative for 2 weeks overdue and only coming positive on day 14 or 15. So I am going to wait a few more days and take another test. Or go to the city for a blood test if the weather allows me.

It's not uncommon so you could still be but evap lines do happen after the tests gone past it's proper time for giving a result. A blood test will give a definitive answer

Hey lovely I didn't get a bfp when I first tested I was about 9 weeks pg I had also had periods aswel it does sound like your pg and sometimes the hormone isn't strong enough to come up yet. I hope you get a pos soon!!! X x

Hello girls,

So I decided to calm down and wait until Christmas eve before I test again and just see what is going to happen until then.
Just have one question, when the test is negative for a longer time can it mean something is wrong with the baby ? I know it might sound like a paranoia but I am first time in this situation and feel like worrying about everything.
