Sorry just a bit frustrated sometimes..

Not only can I not sleep when I lay down, due to big boobs and baby smashing air out of my lungs. But as soon as I doze off, baby starts kicking!

Its nearly 3 a.m. and I'm up because when I lay down I just start bawling as I cant sleep. Tried sleeping in recliner chair, but that nearly put me into labour. When I woke up, my womb was tight and contracted to the max!

Is anyone else here having trouble sleeping?

yep!

its the same with me. baby wakes me up in the night kicking and im also geting really strongf brazton hicks too whic make me wake up and then there is the toilet run several times a night.
Have u tried an extra pillow? Sleeping on your left hand side is also better i find. Drinking a warm milky drink before bed. Reading before going to sleep, Keep a bedroom window open, make sure your not too hot or cold,

sll those ive tried :) im sorry there is no miracle cure.  Hope i hel pa little though

Oh bum, if I'd known you were up I would have come online myself  . Having the same problem hun, baby doesnt seem to like where or how I lie although unlike Budge I'm a right sided sleeper, I do find that a pillow placed under the bump with my leg lying on top usually helps but at the moment the toilet runs and the braxton hicks are proving too much even for this position. Cant believe how strong my BH are on this one, I'm so uncomfortable, did wonder if this was the raspberry leaf I'm taking or just the result of a secondary pregnancy :?

Hang in there Sozee hun, I think of it as practice for when junior arrives, I figure I can possibly be up any more than I am now and at least then you can share the burden with someone else.

Try putting some lavender oil on your pillow or get one of those sleep easy sprays you put on the linen, It really helps me :)

Yup I'm with y'all was up as well last night between 02:30 and 04:00, my back was absolutely knackered! Couldn't find any comfortable postion to sleep in and then started to get what seemed like mild contractions - Whoopie but obviously lead to nothing :? . I use one of them buckwheat lavender pillows that you heat up in the microwave for my back usually - works for awhile. I've also built a small pillow buffer around me using my long body pillow in front and between my legs and then another pillow tucked behind me to support my back - so that I'm more of less wedged in between to pillows. All else fails, have a bath!!!!

Your baby will be moving more when your trying to go asleep because your feeling more relaxed and your breathing is deeper heavier.

If you notice, your baby will be less active whilst you are active because when you walk it rocks your baby to sleep.

Pregnancy pillows are good if you don't have one already, like a nursing pillow...my sister gave me hers and i tuck one end under my bump and the other inbetween my legs, so comfy!

Yep, I am also having trouble sleeping. Just can't get comfortable.
I was up 9 times for the toilet the other night as well

Lavender oil sounds like a good idea Skatty.

:D

Oh thanks so much guys! Thought I was having abnormal problems in my painful misery. Nice to know yall are suffering out there right along with me! Well not nice, but you know what I mean :wall:

I got a bit more sleep today and I feel so much better when rested. Sleep is a healer, when I can get it.

Not even in 9th month of pregnancy yet, so I will be getting bigger and I know with that comes more pain. Sometimes my back is so out of wack I cant walk at all!

Its worth all the pain in the end, just want to lessen my worries over the next couple of months gestating.

i hate it a night i just doze off then i need a wee :x

im going to try the lavender thingo

I've just got the hubby to dig out a lavendar pillow I got off an aunt of mine, you put it in the micro.

Hev I know what you mean, I actually dread night time now as I know its a pointless exercise, as soon as I lie down I wanna pee and then its a case of back and fore for the duration of the night accompanied by baby break dancing and a barrage of hiccups by the little man at 5am  . I find it more stressful than the days to be honest.
