eukkkkk!!

Ive been told to drink it to prevent cramps, its like lemonade- BUT EVIL!!! :x

Is bitter lemon made with tonic water? i could cope with that.

Does it go with orange juice?

Nope bitter lemon isn't.

Vodka and gin go well..... :D Orange doesn't :(

You can get flavoured tonic water from the supermarkets - lemon and lime etc and it tastes better if it's freezing cold.

I agree about the lime....or get the flavoured tonic waters, I saw one with cranberry a while back, looked nice but then again packets usually do!!

the flavoured ones are just as bad believe me i have tried lemon, pomegrannite (sp) and many others, have given up and would rather put up with the cramp than that horrid taste!! xx

I love it! Am I the only one?? I used to drink it with lime years ago when I was too young to have alcohol (but still wanted to look "cool"). OH and I both really like it so we always buy 4/5 bottles when we go shopping.

I like the lime flavour best although Lemon isn't bad. Haven't seen any others... must look out for cranberry as it sounds yummy.

I did find it helped with the cramp though so maybe it's worth pursuing with a glass each evening. I agree Ice cold is best.

just pinch ur nose while u swallow it, u wont taste it :)

I had it once while having a meal in a pub and must say i really liked it.

I disagree, personally I really like tonic water mixed with orange juice. Try it.

I keep getting a 'thing' about tonic water - I had wondered if the quinnine in it was safe in pregnancy but obviously so if they recommend it for cramps :cheer:

i got bitter lemon and its vial might dump it down the sink

I think the lime tonic water is vile. I can cope with sticking a couple of lemon slices in the ordinary stuff though.

Hi

Yes - quinine is safe in pregnancy. I was actually given quinine tablets by my GP after the midwife recommended them.

Before I got these I found bitter lemon mixed with orange juice was a palatable way of drinking it. (2/3 orange 1/3 lemon)

BUT the only thing that stopped my jumpy legs was iron tablets! So I think it was linked with anaemia. Have you had a blood test recently?

my iron was 10.9 which is 0.1 below the 'normal' limits so mw put me on one a day iron tablets. I have noticed my cramps are pretty much gone but whether thats the tonic water or the iron tablets, i dont know.

the tonic water is more tolerable (sp) now anyway (with a splash of OJ
