Tmi sweet smelling discharge

Hoping someone can help.

Past few days I've had some cramping on and off that feels like a period, but not at all often, amybe twice today and twice yesterday but I've also noticed that my underwear is damp, which is not unusual in itself - I'm not soaking wet or anything but it has a really sweet smell to it and wondered if anyone knew what the sweet smell is? I don't think the discharge has increased, sometimes I feel like I can feel it trickling but again that's only happend once today and was such a tiny amount.

Is it just normal discharge? It's just the smell although sweet, is strong and nothing I've experience before.

I really don't want to call midwife to be told that it's just discharge, because I actually don't really feel damp etc and I'm worried that if I go to triage they are just going to laugh at me for being so stupid. Plus I know it's something I need to get over, but no doubt they would do an internal and I've never had one before and I'm dreading it!

Sorry for the tmi and the rambling! (I'm 36 weeks tomorrow)

Do you use perfumed bath products? (to soak in, or wash yourself with)
Because I have an intolerance to perfumed bath products as it gives me a sweet-biscuity smell discharge.

I'd recommend bathing in salt, or at least switching to "simple" bath products and see if it improves in a few days.
check the ingredients on what you using, and it may just be a slight reaction.

Maybe you've changed washing powder recently? Or other bathing products??

I think you should call your midwife, just to be on the safe side. I was told your amniotic fluid smells quite sweet, and it would have a constant leak. I called once before cause I was very damp and they told me to put a pad on and call back in an hour. I was fine, probably just peeing myself and didn't realise. Ha. But i do really think if in doubt give them a call...x

I haven't changed anything recently - I'm fussy about what I use and everything has been the same throughout the entire pregnancy. Was thinking maybe eaten something really sweet and it's making urine smell sweet - I have no idea though.
