My son is just over 11 months, and I was just wondering whether he can have tinned tuna? And if so, how much of it, and how often?!

I absolutely hate tuna, I hate the smell, the taste and the texture, and I think it's partly because my Mum hates it so she never fed it to me as a child!

I gave James some yesterday, he isn't eating much yet so I didn't measure quantities. I put out half a tin and the cat ate most of it - after James was done of course!

Make sure you get the one in spring water (not brine)

Yes C actually really likes fish and we have given him
Tina in spring water xx

I think you can only give a portion of salmon, mackerel, tuna etc twice a week. Other white fish is ok though to give as often as you like

Thanks all of you :)

I've got some in spring water in the cupboard as that's what OH eats, so I'll give the small boy a try with it some time and see what he thinks - if I can deal with having to smell it myself that is
