Time to tone :)

So I have decided it is time to tone my tummy :) I am going to start on Monday, want to get the weekend out of the way first :whistle:

I am going to keep all my details and how I am doing, my ups and downs and maybe a few pics all here in my little thread, so please follow me if you wish :wave:

I will gave some background details first, why I am doing it, what I want to achieve and how I am going to go about it.

The reason I have decided to do this is because I feel my tummy is getting out of control, I am not looking for a perfect body just one that doesnt flop when I run :lol:
I have noticed that recently all my extra fat is being stored in my tummy and hips, I am a slim person and dont have an extra lot of fat but what I do have is sitting on my hips and tummy :mad: I am not looking to lose weight (I dont have any to spare) I am 5'7 and weight 8stone 7lbs so maybe a little underweight, I am going to try and gain some weight (muscle not fat) as I tone up :) I want to try and get to 10 stone :) For some reason I have never gained weight, even when pregnant I only gained 12-13lbs and 7 of that was baby :mad: but I have a hidden weapon this time :dance:

I am going to keep a little picture file here of my week to week achievements. I will post my first pic on Monday :shock:

I would also like to say that I am getting help and advice from a wonderful lady (thats my hidden weapon :dance:) who has already gave me lots of amazing information, I dont want to say who but she can reveal herself if she wants :oooo::oooo:

So thats it Monday morning I am going to start with some exercises I have been given and hopefully it wont kill me :shock: WISH ME LUCK :) I am going to bloody well need it !!
 
Good luck - my mission at the end of the year after baby is born will be to get my tummy FLAT and lose all the flabby wobbly bits!
 
So I started my exercises yesterday :) I dont feel to bad today just the odd twinge when I move (I did go easy on myself ) Tomorrow I think I will be a little harder. I have also got the old wii fit back out and I am thinking on starting a bit of yoga again :)

These are my start pics, not the best and please ignore the mess in the background, I took them with my phone so they are off poor quality (just what I wanted lol ). :whistle:

So Day 4 and I feel good :) I have been eating so much better as well and trying to drinks lots and lots of water. I have started to do some gentle yoga as well (dont want to push myself). As you all know it is far to soon to see any changes yet but I can sure as hell feel them !! lol apart from feeling good, my muscles ache, which I believe is good ?? not sure. At the moment I am doing my recc. exercises every other day and some gentle yoga streches on the inbetween days.

So thats it for now, I never thought I would be able to keep this up (and I know it hasnt even been a week yet) but I am determined to do this and I will have "THE" body by this summer :)
 
sounds like your doing good and your determined hun, so goooood luck :D
 
Go easy - you do look good already, you have a brilliant starting point! :)
 
Are you doing too much? Maybe not giving your body time to recover inbetween?
 
I just seen this thread :yay: I love it! I think I will have to steal your idea.. Keep a little diary on here and take pictures.. Maybe not post them but defo take them :lol: What exercises are you doing? I am starting an exercise video next week (promise :lol:)

I didnt think I was doing enough, I take a days rest in between well not really but on the in between day I just do some gentle yoga stretches (my body is so stiff). I think I am hurting because I may be getting ill :mad: I have almost lost my voice and I feel terrible. So I think the whole aching body is being made worse by being ill. Think I may take a day or 2 off completely :)

At the moment I am not doing an awful lot, but what I am doing seems to be working :) I only want to tone my tummy and hip area so thats the only area I am really working hard on, I am doing some Yoga to tone my thights to, but not I am not working very hard on that area (yet lol )

The exercise I am doing are, crunches, bicycle crunches, and another one I dont know the name of :eh: but I could write it out for you if you want :)

I am also doing some yoga as well, mostly I am doing the stretches and poses that work on my waist and tummy but I have been known to try a few others :)
 
I think my exercises are starting to work, I know it has only been a week but my tummy doesnt feel as flabby :) it hasnt changed in size or anything but it really does feel different :) either that or I am going mad. I have to admit feeling that my tummy is less flabby has really pushed my along, I dont want to over do it or anything but I am throwing a big surprise party for Davys 40th in about 6-7 weeks time and I would love to be able to wear a really sexy tight top :) so my aim is to have an almost flat tummy in 6-7 weeks time.
 
hey I'm completely new to all this, is it hard to diet after having a baby? or even recommended? personally I think women shouldn't worry about baby weight, i cant wait to put weight on and show off my bump :D good luck though if its what you want and makes you feel better, do it for yourself though

My baby is 2 years old hun !!!! lol I am not really on a diet, I am trying to eat well and I dont want to lose weight the only thing I want to do is lose the fatty bits around my tummy and hips. :) xx
 
So I havent done any exercises for a few days now due to having a bad chest infection and also being sore from getting my tattoo, but it will be back to normal routine tomorrow :)
 
Thought it was time I updated this little thread *blush*

So I took 2 months off !!! lol Dont know why just got a bit bored but now I have talked my sister round and she is toning with me :)

This is our 3rd week now and if I do say so myself I think we are doing great :) I have cut out all weekday alcohol and junk food, but I have to admit I have given myself a day where I have free range and can have a chinese if I want, so Sunday is my happy day :) .

We power walk 4 miles 3 times a week and we do pilates and yoga every other day :) I have also stepped it up a little by using some jump cardio work outs ( with help from my hubby ) I only do these maybe twice a week cus they are actually quite hard :( well hard for me anyway, when I am finished them my legs feel like jelly !! lol

My waist and stomach measurements have changed by 1cm, I know not a lot but it shows something is happening :)

I have lots of energy due to eating better and I have to say I am starting to feel really good, I actually thought about wearing shorts the other day, which is a big, big deal even for me to think that, the last time anyone saw my legs was the last time I was on hoildays 8 years ago lol.

So I think now that I have actually got into a routine I will be updating a lot more, not going to post any more pics yet as things havent really changed but I am hoping in a few weeks I may start to see a little difference.
