Well so much for this new feeding plan.

I knew an oz wasn't very much to put on in a week despite the HV ignoring it a bit at the clinic, the dosey mare has plotted the spot wrong on the graph as well.

She now weighs what she weighed 10 days ago when we were discharged from the hospital. She's only lost an oz or so but still she shouldn't be losing weight.

The health visitor is a bit worried about her and is chasing up the appointment with the consultant we are supposed to be having soon. She seen her upset today and is convinced she is in pain somehow. She tried to reassure me that they won't leave it like this and will continue to help me until it is sorted.

It's never ending this.

tbh hun i dont agree that you were overfeeding her in the first place. she might have eaten less when the ranitadine kicked in anyway cos she was probably comfort sucking to soothe her throat and make herself feel better.

 Bless you both hun. At least the HV isn't ignoring it and chasing the appt. Have you heard any more about the physio for her shoulder?

Are you tempted to go back to your normal feeding? xxxxxxxx

ohh Tor i cant believe all this you poor thing

when are you gonna hear back??xx

Sending you hugs darling...it really is never ending for you both

Has she been more settled in herself since leaving hopistal with the reduced feeding etc?

xxx

She's seen the physio bb. She didn't think there was any lasting damage with her arm. She's hunching her neck up in an attempt to elongate her oesophagus apparently, which is a symptom of the reflux :(

I've emailed the consultants secretary today about an appointment. Haven't had time to ring when baby hasn't been crying today.

She's not been any more settled Becky no, not really. Well I can't tell anymore tbh. All I know is that she's still screaming and now she won't sleep because I used to feed her to sleep of an evening but now I'm not allowed under their advice. So we have a different set of problems too.

The HV is horrified at their advice on feeding and has been in touch with the feeding specialist at the hospital who is contacting the consultant herself over their advice to me. I'm waiting for her to call me back to see what she has found out
I'm so sick of the conflicting advice. :(

:( that sounds so stressing  poor you and tilly. I am curious to see what the consultant will say at that appointment. Thankfully she didn't loose much. Fx she catches up this week?

:hugs: you must be so stressed out. Really hope you can get seen soon x

Sorry to hear poor tilly still isn't a happy girl. Reminds me so much of what I went through. Hope you get some real answers soon hugs xxx

I saw this earlier but couldn't comment!

I'm so angry for you with the way poor little Tilly has been treated. I thought it was wrong of them to tell you to reduce her feeds but I thought i'm no expert, iykwim! I'm so glad this HV is on your side and I really hope you can get some answers!

You are an amazing mother and coping so well!

I can't believe how much you have had to cope with it and you seem to be doing so well with it all!! Do you use a dummy with her and have you got a moby wrap or something similar? I found when Sophie was little and had colic I would pop her in the sling and get on with jobs during the day. She would cry and be unsettled at first but she soon settled with the motion of me walking round xxx

It really is never ending for you both at the moment... Really hope you can get the help and support you need soon. Big hugs. Xx

Awww what a nightmare you are having. I was very surprised about the reducing feeds advice too. Poor little thing, hope you get some answers soon x

I saw this coming a mile off really.

I'm really cross about the whole thing. The feeding lady did not call me back so I'll have to chase her up but I'm very interested to hear what she has to say about her chat with the consultant.

My poor baby is suffering after bad advice.

I expected them to ask me to feed her more frequently than 3 hours.

I thought with bf it would be purely on demand, but these people are meant to know what they are talking about.

If I were you hun I would start writing down everything from when Tilly was in hospital. Go through the thread and make a note of it all, then I would deffo complain. If an adult suffers from bad medical advice they can say so, poor little Tilly can't. They were meant to make things better not frigging worse!

You know quite often when doctors go on strike hospital deaths actually drop....makes you wonder huh?

Its ridiculous, they should have said to feed her less more often!! Thats what they told me to do with little man!! How is making a baby cry with hunger helping the situation??
xxx

Oh Hun  this is just dreadful for you both  how frustrating :( xxx
