We have 2 Westies, they are gorgeous but my god they are a handful. They are Alans dogs - he had them when we met, and he used to take them to work with him. But since ive been at home he leaves them with me everyday and as much as i love them, they are a pain in the backside - get under my feet all the time, wee and poo everywhere, I cant take them for a walk cos there is two of them and they are big Westies so pushing a pram and trying to control them is a no no.
Alan never walks them so they are a bit neglected tbh, plus we have our boat now which we want to enjoy of a weekend so its really really not fair on them.

I do feel sad cos although they do my head in I do love them but with another baby on the way - its just the final straw.

So if anyone wants 2 Westies (they are brother and sister and love each other dearly so I wouldnt want them to be split up) then please let me know.

Always sad to hear when people feel they have to re-home their dogs. I can understand your predicament, but it's a shame that they've been neglected in terms of walking / house training. They are bound to be more of a handful if they haven't had their daily walk as they've still got lots of energy to burn off! Hope you find a good home for them both

Awwww poor doggies and poor you! :(

I'm sorry we can't have them as we already have a menagerie of 3 cats but I hope you can find a home for them soon

We rehomed our border collie back in february as Sean stopped walking her :( No way could we have coped with her now so it was for the best

They haven't been neglected in terms of house training. They have been well trained but have very recently become naughty in terms of where they go toilet. I know this is cos they r unhappy as it coincides with alan stopping walking them due to how busy he is and the fact we have a baby. Which is why I want to give thhem up to a home that can give them the attention they deserve. They are 3 and have been lavished with live and attention until v recently and it's because of this that we feel it's only fair to give them to a new home :D

Hiya, I've just seen this. My Mums friend is looking for a small/medium sized dog. I shall ask her if she'd consider/ed brother and sister and get back to you. She's a really lovely lady.

aww poor dogs..naughty OH for not walking them!! No wonder they are pooing and peeing. Really hope you find a good home for them both.

Aw Jen I understand that this must have been hard for you. We decided to rehome one of our dogs earlier this year, we still have a Lab (Just!). I rang round some shelter places and they were so arsey with me, most of them said that we took on a dog for life and shouldnt rehome him for the sake of the baby, even tho the dog had growled at the baby!!!

Westies should be easy to rehome. My in laws have 2 as well.

Good luck xxx
