Thermometer advice

Newbie here!

Could anyone recommend a thermometer that shows when it is ready instead of or as well as beeping? One that is clear to see in the dark too. I can't hear the beeps (bit deaf!) so need visual indicator.

the boots themometer has quite a loud beep, also once it has read temp it stops flashing completely, if you angle it correctly in your mouth you can see the display - just! i do this when i have my ear plugs in and cant hear the beep! good luck.
