LOL

blown my fence over and roof tiles off and I nearly ended up on my A***
seems to be all calm now tho
I think 8 people died in the weather so I am glad it's just a fence I have to repare

O no!! Your poor neighbour!! :)

My garden furniture blew all over my garden but no probs other than that.

Wind was strong though.

It hasnt been too bad where I am. Dont get me wrong, its windy but nothing worse than usual.

Its terrible that weather like this actually causes peoples deaths :(

There has been 4 deaths in the North West, one man was killed near us repairing his fence

My OH took dog into local park this afternoon, and was knocked off his feet by a 10t x 6ft sheet of corrugated roof sheeting, it whacked him in the leg, which somersaulted him in the air and he landed on his shoulder and elbow!! He has a right lump on his leg where it hit him, and he is feeling right sorry for himself..

My best friend has rag me in tears too, all her ridge tiles have blown off her roof...its been really quite bad round here

my dads eucalyptus tree was bent double today

One of my daughters 3 story high school buidings had the complete roof ripped off, crushed approx 8 teachers cars, luckily no children where killed, i have heard there were minor injuries to some.

If the roof had come off the other way it would have been a different story, also the fact that most of the kids were queing for dinners.

All the school was sent home and they have to have building surveyers in tomorrow, so no school.

I thank god that it happened when it did as the top classroom is my daughters form room, two minutes earlier and i shudder to think.

 sheesh kebab....No wonder my cats didnt want to go out for long today lol

It just amazed me seeing as its bricks and concrete like that a "sold" sign blowing continusely that hard all day brought down the wall and the fencing
I went 2 the midwife and nearly blew away at one point haha
I dont like wind
I wonder if my cats blown away LOL

I posted this in the other weather thread but....

My brother drives a new model Audi A4, convertable.

He went to work as usual today (he's a jeweller in the Jewellery quarter in Birmingham.) Anyway, his mate had parked in his usual spot, so he parked closer to the building.
When he got back to the car this evening, loads of roof tiles had been blown off the roof and smashed the windscreen, punched LOAD of HUGE holes in the roof and dented and scratched all of the bodywork.

I feel so bad for him! I think the people that own the car park (and the building) are going to pay to get it all fixed but it'll take weeks!

I'll post pics when he sends them to me, I can't wait to see it myself

No seriously he must of been sooo pissed off! Its really nice of the car park owners to get it fixed for him that will cost a fair bit i imagine..

I have been told some insurance companies won't pay out for the damages as it is an 'act of god' ?!?

The wind was awful by me. it took me 3 hours to get home from work.

Crazy!!
