I've spent the day with a friend today. We were discussing induction and she turned round and said to me
'what's the one they do in your bum?'
 I was like you what?
And she said 'someone told me you can have something stuck up your bum in labour?'

Turns out she meant a sweep!!!

I'm pretty sure there is a tablet they actually put in your bum during labour in certain circumstances...im sure someone will see this thread & tell you what it is.

I had one when I was having an operation a few years ago (nothing to do with babies/childbirth) - it was an extra stong painkiller & apparently if put in bum it works quicker than injections ect.

    :)
