Booking in notes done and she's booked me in for bloods. She also said she's sent off for my scan appointment which should come through by the end of the month.

I explained my Mum's history - she had a baby with Edwards Syndrome; an unplanned pregnancy at 45 and sadly the baby only survived a few hours. She's offered me an Amnio if I want it, but to be honest, I've never had any inclination to have it with the others, and unless there is something that comes back as high risk as part of the Nuchal then I don't think I'll be rushing to have it.

She's put me at about 5 weeks too so we'll see what the scan says in the next few weeks.

It screens for everything just from a sample of your blood and is the earliest way to know gender too!

The cheapest I could see online was £399.

I think I'll see what risk I am after the Nuchal and if it's high I'll 100% find the cash for it.
