I've not been having a lot of baths while I've been pregnant but last night I had a warm bubble bath with c oil in. I came out feeling very relaxed but I had lots of B Hs after and I got a lot of period pains. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this why they tell people to have baths while in labour to bring on the contractions?
Well I won't be having any more baths until
I'm on maternity leave'

I have been having loads of bath recently and I like my baths and showers fairly hot! I don't know what bh feel like so I assume I haven't had any! I have had period pains but I don't think it's related toy baths I think it's just the baby moving down?!?

What oil? Clary sage oil? I never have that happen :/
I just come out feeling high n relaxed

I have a bath every night before bed and while im in it I constantly get braxton hicks, but i thought it was maybe the way I was lying? Maybe it is the warm water after all.

Yeah clary sage oil. It may not be related I just wondered?

I have only really had baths in pregnancy. Clathrate did nothing for me! And you can't get in the waterbirth pool at the hospital until you are 5cms dilated because it actually slows down labour, when your in early labour you should get in a bath to ease the pain. It definateky doesn't lead labour on!

Phew! I'm glad you said that because I felt so chilled out after the bath I was disappointed at the thought of not having any more. Thinking about it, I had a bh when I was speaking sternly to two of my kids at school today so maybe my bhs are just coming on more regularly now.
