Temperature, advice needed x

    Well all of us have thi horrid flu/cold type virus bar the husband and have just checked jakes temperature and its nearly 40c. Thing is i know to give him calpol but he is refusing to take it. He also has this horrible dry cough and wont take anything for that either. He has only had breakfast today as he didnt want his dinner or tea :( Im at a bit of a los what to do with him really. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks xx:wall2:

    Hes not drinking much either, how can you tell if a child becomes dehydrated??

    Hi Nikki sorry just saw this post..a dehydrated bubba will look very tired, his lips will be dry and nappy very light..try giving him some diarrlite that definitely helps..

    The boys are the same today :( Luckily they're good with calpol and still drinking but I used to use a syringe when they wouldn't and squirt it in the side right at the back so they had to swallow it. Hope he's feeling better soon :hug:
