Teething

I was just wondering how long it takes for a tooth to finally come through once you can see it under the gum line...........my little boy has been pretty upset for the last 5 days or so but the tooth is not fully through but I have no idea how much longer he will have to put up with the pain......any advice would be great.

Also has anyone used Ashton powders, if so how often should I give then to him. The packet suggest half in the morning and half in the evening is that what you guys do?

hey Lilylou...

My little girl has had a tooth just peeping over the gumline on the bottom for about three months now...and though she still teethes like mad there's no sign of it growing.

Ella's seem to come through quite quickly - two of her top teeth started coming through last Monday and have now been joined by the middle too. They're definately growing Can't believe my baby has 6 teeth!!

Kina - wow Ella has 6 teeth now hope she doesn't start nipping you!

Olivia has two teeth and both were quite quick to come through once I could see white bits on her gums and I'd say she was probably grizzly in the evenings for about a week with each tooth.

I haven't given her any Ashton powders in the morning, but I have given her 3 lots within 6 hours at night before - they seem to really help calm her down when she's irritated with her teeth.

Nah she;s been quite good lately The worst thing she does is grind her teeth It makes me feel so ill, ugh the noise!

Thanks guys....I guess I'll just have to hope they come through quickly, we've had a couple of real bouts of pain and I hate seeing him like that....I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the worst will be over by the weekend??!!

For those with babes already sporting more than just one solitary tooth does it get any easier with later teeth?

Sorry Lilylou but in our case it's got worse Her bottom ones were a breeze compared to these ones
