teething question please answer x

Hi DS is 22 weeks old and has just got his first tooth come through - it is not properly through yet but is coming through and is really sharp. He has been dribbling like crazy and will not let me put him down. I am having a really hard time at the mo as he is being so demanding. It sounds awful but I had been counting down till bedtime. My question is - Is this the most painful bit of teething where the tooth is still coming through?
I have put my finger on it and it is so sharp.

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking that but it is so hard to feel if there is another one coming. I am using bonjela and ashtons powder. Oh and calprofen. x

Thanks for that. At least I can understand why he is being clingy. I was starting to think it may be the seperation anxiety thing. xx

i can see the 2nd tooth he cries everytime i put him down x

the most painful part is the teeth moving thru the gums- once they cut thru they stop hurting. if its cut and LO still in pain, there may well be another one about to come thru. i found that they come in 2's and 4's. calpol and baby nurofen help. x
