teats (again)

this may sound stupid, but how do you know when is the right time to change up to the next size teat?

Tim is 9w 4d old, and is still on size 1 Avent teats. We did try the size 2s a couple of weeks ago, but he just seemed to gulp too quickly and he made himself choke! However, the last few nights he's gotten very agitated during his feed (but we think he may also be teething..)

any advice would be great welcome!!

I changed to the next size up when my LO was taking longer at each feed compared to before, and seemed to have to put more effort into each suck.

hi hun Hannah used to do the same when we went up a teat but we just had to keep going until she got used to it only used to take a couple of feeds
