swolllen hands/fingers

Hi all

My hands and fingers are really swollen, this has happened a couple of times this week in the morning, they are actually quite painful - has anyone else had this? I'm wondering if it is anything to do with the fact that I have carpal tunnel syndrome but I know that it can also be a symptom of pre-eclampsia - just wondered what are your thoughts?

im not sure re carpal tunnel - but i would give your MW a ring. Get them to check your BP. Better to be safe

My feet are very swollen today, but i think that is becuase they are soo hot.

yep, definitely carpal tunnel. i have this and its a total nightmare. have splints to wear at night, but half the time they dont seem to do much to help. Best thing for them is to rest, keep them cool so they dont overheat and swell up. i now have elephants feet too, but i think thats just due to pregnancy overall. am seeing m/w next week so will tell her all about it just in case. I think this is bad cos it stops me from getting the little sleep i would normally get anyway, so i am turning into a very grouchy pregnant woman!!
