How far do you have to b to get a sweep? can u ask for 1 from the midwife?

MOST MIDWIFES WILL DO THEY ONCE YOU GO OVER 40 WEEKS .... DONT THINK ANY WOULD GIVE YOU ONE..... YOU CUD ALWAYS TRY YOUR SELF MAY GET LUCKY

how do they do it? i have never heard of it up untill now

 

they basically put ine finger into ur cervix and move it around in circles around the edge to sperate it from the bag of waters... after its done properly ur cervix will be more open and contraction shud start. alot of midwifes dont do it long enough to be affective

I had 3 with Ava....the last one brought on contractions for a little bit, but nothing regular. Your cervix needs to be soft and ripe for it to really work.
