Successful sweep stories at 39 weeks?

Had a sweep today at dead on 39 weeks.. she said she could feel the head and membranes and able to conduct the sweep but my cervix is still long. Anyone have any experiences? I had a sweep at 41 weeks with my first and went into labour the next day but I think cervix was short that time.

no responses to this one...and i was about to ask same! My cervix was quite posterior but she could tug it round and said it was short and very stretchy and easy to separate the membranes....any similar stories?

i'll answer my own q.. baby born almost exactly 24hrs after the sweep!
