How long does/can sperm live inside the body?

hi rachel from what ive read on here and on other sites on the net sperm can live anything from 2 days up to 7 days depending on the conditions of the vagina

Hi Rach

I read sperm mainly lives around 2 days if the mucus is the right quality. When they say up to 5 days this is very rare. That's not saying it never lives that long. It has done but very rarely. Sperm lives in most woman up to 2 days. If the mucus is not the right quality (pre ovulation or post ovulation) sperm can dye within 2 hours.

I read this on a web site called THE TRUTH ABOUT SPERM. But i've read so many different things that i'm confussed now!

I have 3 books on pregnancy and each one says a different thing.
